What can I do in my community to promote energy conservation with trees?

There are many ways you can help promote energy conservation with trees in your own community. A great place to start is with your own neighborhood or homeowners association, if you have one. Seek out experts who can provide your organization with education about how to plan effective tree plantings for energy conservation, and then organize a neighborhood plan for increasing the canopy cover in your area.

Your local utility may also provide insight for opportunities they may be promoting. You might also work with local volunteer groups and organizations to support tree and greenspace conservation in your community.
